Amanda is the ACT Greens Spokesperson for Health, Transport, Disability and Housing, Ageing, Multicultural Affairs, Industrial Relations, and Corrections.

The questions covered areas such as Childcare, Transport, Women's Health and Ageing just to mention a few.

One of the questions raised during the open floor session was in relation to Breast Screening reminders for Seniors and Elderly Women over 70 years of age.

During the discussions, Amanda was asked by a member of our audience to follow up on this as it is a major concern for Senior Women.

Amanda has followed this through with the Health Minister and has provided us with an response from the Health Minister in reply to the question raised, if you would like a copy of this response please contact our office.

Food Buffs ... Join us!

Calling all food buffs ...

We are looking for some yummy winter inspired recipes to be included in our Winter Newsletter!

Winter Comfort Food Image Via: ifood.tv

Yes we do love our food here at MWA HQ and yes, we do seem to talk about food quite a bit, which is one of the reasons that we'd love to find some great recipes from you!

All you have to do is:

  • Write the recipe down so that we can share it with everyone
  • Explain a little bit about the dish
  • Where it comes from (it's origin)
  • And if possible have a photo of the finished dish so that everyone at home can see what it looks like

We are going to make this a regular feature on our blog and newsletter so put your thinking caps on for a Spring inspired dish to share!

Please leave a comment below if you'd like to take part.

Do

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, "I lived through this horror.
I can take the next thing that comes along."
You must do the thing you think you cannot do."

Eleanor Roosevelt

How are your 'doing' steps going?
