Together

Aung San Suu Kyi ~ Image via imagepeace.com - archives

Thank you so much for your continued support of the MEPP program and the inspiring women who are taking steps to empower themselves and their families as they grow in confidence.  We appreciate you taking time out from your day at work, with family or with friends to read and support the Women we work with.

Each day sees them taking new steps, addressing new challenges, removing barriers and tackling the many 'judgements & labels' that others in society place on them.

The Multicultural Women's Advocacy (MWA) believe that employment is vital to the long term empowerment of women and the MEPP program has been successful in facilitating sustainable outcomes for CALD Women in the ACT.

Being part of this program gives CALD Women a voice, a place to make a choice and have a say in what they would like to do with their life, which after all is a basic human right is it not?

We can make a difference together,

International Women's Day Workshop

A guest post by Tahlia our inspiring Stylist and Mentor:

As a part of International Women's Day, I have been asked to hold a style workshop as a thank you for all the amazing women that have assisted The Multicultural Women's Advocacy in empowering so many women from all walks of life.

We can find ourselves pouring all our energy into our jobs or our family but it's vital to take the time to revitalize and feel like a whole person, not just an employee, a boss or a mother. As women we can tend to feel guilty for taking time out just for our selves, some think it's selfish, but really we are being our own worst enemies. How can we give ourselves fully without taking care of us, so we don't get run down when it matters the most?

This is what I try to focus on when running my workshops. It's time to look at the little things that make you feel special & beautiful.

Do something just for YOU this Women's Day :)
